The Front Lounge In Dublin To Close, While Galway Welcomes New Craft Beer Bar

It is being reported that The Front Lounge, a popular LGBT-bar adjacent to Dublin's Temple Bar, is to close after being taken over by new owners.

Dailyedge.ie reports that it is to be replaced by a new bar called Street 66 on 8 December, which will have live music, craft beer, movies and vinyl.

A spokesperson for the new venture said: "Basically we will continue doing what The Front Lounge has been doing for years while adding a live music venue to the front part," adding that there will be an emphasis on "roots, funk, reggae, ska, dub, soul, jazz and all good music."

Meanwhile, Galway will soon welcome another craft beer bar as Caribou is set to open on Woodquay. Opening day beer options will consist of Brewdog's Punk IPA and Dead Pony Club, beers from popular American brewery Stone Brewing and Denmark's Mikkeller, among others.
