Healthy Eating Chain Chopped to Open Five New Stores

Healthy eating chain Chopped shows no sign of slowing its expansion plans as it is set to open five new stores and create 110 new jobs in Dublin and Kildare next month.

The openings will be at Dublin Airport Terminal 1, Dundrum Town Centre, O' Connell street, the Pavilions shopping centre in Swords as well as the Whitewater shopping centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare, reports 98fm.com.

Chopped, which opened in 2012, has had a successful year winning awards such as 'Best Emerging Franchise' and opening up new stores recently in Tallaght, Westmoreland street and Blanchardstown.

"At Chopped, we’re on a mission to build a family of good food lovers. We want people to be excited to come to work and have jobs that are fulfilling and lead to growth and new opportunities. With this latest recruitment drive, we’re on track to have over 350 people working as part of the Chopped family by the end of 2016," said co-founder Brian Lee.

The store's application form for Chopped Franchise Opportunities states "to open a Chopped store, the turnkey capital cost will be approximately €160,000, this includes a provision for working capital". The ideal location for a store is "university campuses, town centres, areas near gyms/sports clubs and office complexes with young professionals are all potential locations" and should have a minimum footprint of 140 square metres for a stand-alone unit. New stores require 10 to 12 weeks to be built and for the implementation of a 'New Store Opening Plan'.
