Is This Machine About To Become The 'Nespresso Of Beer'?

Australian brewing giant Coopers is launching an automated personal beer brewing machine called BrewArt, which they hope will become the 'Nespresso of Beer'.

With craft beer becoming more and more popular throughout the world, there's also been an increase in home brewing, an area that the BrewArt creators hope to tap into by making the process even easier and faster for consumers.

According to TheDrinksBusiness.com, the machine consists of two units, the BeerDroid part, which costs the equivalent of €518 and allows for nearly 10 litres of beer to be brewed, while the BrewFlo part costs €465 and allows for the storage of five litres of beer as well as having a temperature controlled dispenser.

The machine has Wi-Fi connectivity built in, allowing for control of the brewing process with a smartphone app, and all BrewArt purchases will include malts, enhancers, hops and yeast needed for making beer. Those who want to brew their own Coopers Pale Ale, Heineken or something more adventurous, can use BrewPrints hosted on the company's website, which detail the brewing steps and method for all sorts of beers.

This is not the first automated home brewing machine to hit the market, with Belfast start-up BrewBot, Brewie and iGulu currently on the market, with the latter raising $793,000 via crowdfunding website Indiegogo.
