EMILY HOURICAN EMILY HOURICAN
is editor of Hospitality Ireland and a columnist with Image magazine. She is former start-up editor and occasional restaurant reviewer of The Dubliner magazine. A childhood spent among the cafes and restaurants of Brusselles gave her an early taste for the good life.
TOM DOORLEY TOM DOORLEY
has been writing about food and wine for 20 years. He is currently restaurant critic and food writer with the Irish Times and writes on wine for Business & Finance. He is wine columnist for The Field magazine in the UK, and his book, Muck and Merlot, appeared last year.
ERNIE WHALLEY ERNIE WHALLEY
joined Food & Wine in 1999 and was made editor in 2003. He recently left to establish a food and wine writing and consultancy business. He is a regular contributor to Hospitality Ireland and writes a weekly wine column for the Sunday Independent.
DOMINI KEMP DOMINI KEMP
is the owner and founder of itsa bagel with sister Peaches. A former showjumper, she trained at the Leith School of Food and Wine and was manager of Peacock Alley, Lloyd’s and Christopher’s with chef Conrad Gallgher. She co-wrote two cookbooks with Gallagher and has written one since, Real Food, Real Fast.She currently operates three branches of itsa bagel, and in December opened Itsa 4 restaurant in Sandymount, Dublin.
   
  MELANIE MORRIS
graduated from UCD with a B.Comm degree, she moved to London to work in the Absolutely Fabulous world of fashion PR with the real life Edina Monsoon, Lynne Franks. Upon returning to Ireland in the 1990s, she founded dSIDE Magazine, a style-led title aimed at the emerging Celtic cubs. Following that, she worked as beauty editor and features contributor to The Irish Times and The Sunday Tribune before becoming editor of Image Magazine.
 

DESSIE HYNES
owned some of Dublin’s most famous bars including O'Donoghues on Merrion Row, Hynes of Baggot Street, The Park Inn in Harolds Cross and The Sackville Lounge. In O'Donoghues he be-friended some of the most influential political, business and media people in Ireland.

  JOHN HOWARD
was chef-patron of Le Coq Hardi and is a former member of Euro- Toques. He currently divides his time between Spain and Ireland.

has been the restaurant critic of the Sunday Business Post for many years
LOUIS WALSH LOUIS WALSH
has managed some of the biggest pop acts to come out of Ireland: Boyzone, Samantha Mumba and Westlife. Known for his candid and outspoken views, he is a judge on X-Factor and You’re A Star and has travelled the country extensively.
MICKEY NED O’SULLIVAN MICKEY NED O’SULLIVAN
and his Marian were in the hospitality business for over 20 years in Kenmare – with Mickey Neds Coffee Shop and Delicatessen( now Jam) and Mickey Neds Bar and Restaurant.On the sporting field he captained the Kerry Senior Football to All Ireland success during the 1970s and went on to manage Kerry in the late 80s and early 90s.He is the current Manager of the Limerick Football Team.
EUGENE PHELAN EUGENE PHELAN
is deputy editor of the Limerick Leader, the biggest selling newspaper in the Mid-West. Eugene has worked as a journalist in the Limerick region for the past 30 years and as part of his work eats regularly in local hotels and restaurants while attending press launches, conferences, or interviewing clients.
HUGH ORAM HUGH ORAM
a Dublin-based author,broadcaster and journalist,has written extensively about the travel and hospitality industries.He contributed to the Michelin Green Guide to Ireland and Fodor's Ireland guide.
LUCY MADDEN LUCY MADDEN
is chef/proprietor of Hilton Park in Clones, Co Monaghan. She has written on food and hotels for Image and The Dubliner magazine and writes a regular monthly column for Hospitality Ireland.
GERRY GALVIN

GERRY GALVIN
is a graduate of Shannon College with hotel management experience in Ireland, Switzeralnd, South Africa and the UK. He was chef-patron of Vintage Restaurant in Kinsale and Drimcong House, Moycullen. He is a member of Euro-Toques.

RUAIRI KEOGH RUAIRI KEOGH
is a director at Slattery Communications, one of Ireland's largest PR firms where he heads up its consumer division. He represents a large selection of companies in the food & nutrition and drinks industries including Glanbia and Edward Dillon & Company. No stranger to hospitality awards, he first worked on the late lamented Black and White Pub of the Year in 1996 when he travelled the country as a preliminary judge before later taking over the PR and promotion of the awards proper. He is passionate about good food and fine wines and thinks himself fortunate to be exposed so regularly to them.
HUBERT MURPHY HUBERT MURPHY
is editor of the Fingal Independent newspaper which covers an area from Dublin Airport, Portmarnock and Malahide to Swords, Donabate/ Portrane, Skerries, Rush and Balbriggan. The Fingal region is typical of the growth factor that exists in the Irish hospitality trade today. Countrywide, the template is simple. Treat new people like old customers and old customers like new ones.
