Ranelagh Gets New Craft Beer Gastropub

Dublin suburb Ranelagh has welcomed a new gastropub to the neighbourhood as the team behind Ugly Duckling Dublin have taken over The Hill on Mountpleasant Avenue.

The pub has been refurbished and relaunched, and is now serving craft beer from 22 taps.

It celebrated its official launch last Wednesday by giving free pints to the first 50 people who visited. The gastropub is in good company with the likes of McSorley's, Redmond's, Taphouse, and The Exchequer all serving craft beer in Ranelagh.

The Hill is serving brands such as Trouble Brewing, White Hag, Galway Bay Brewery, Lindemans, Lagunitas, and Cork favourite 8 Degrees. There will also be wine, cocktails, and spirits available from the likes of Dingle Distillery.

Last month, craft beer makers Brú Brewery, based in Trim, Co. Meath, purchased Smyths pub in Fairview, Dublin 3 after raising funding for expansion.
