Top Munster Restaurants Receive Awards

The best restaurants in each Munster county were recognised by the Irish Restaurant Awards 2015 this week, as the ceremony took place in The Limerick Strand Hotel.

The Munster winners will join the Leinster and Ulster finalists in the Regional and All-Ireland finals, which will be announced at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, Dublin on Monday 25 May, 2015.

The restaurants competed across twelve categories, with 400 owners and staff attending the event. The Tannery in Dungarvan, Waterford (pictured) scooped the Best Restaurant and Best Chef (Paul Flynn) awards on the night, its third consecutive successful year.

The contested categories were: Best Restaurant, Best Chef, Best Restaurant Manager, Best Hotel Restaurant, Best Casual Dining, Best Gastro Pub, Best Customer Service, Best Newcomer, Best Wine Experience, Best Emerging Irish Cuisine, Best Kids Size Me and Local Food Hero.
