AccorHotels Names Cahill And Morin As Deputy Chief Executives

AccorHotels, Europe's biggest hotels group, has named Chris Cahill and Jean-Jacques Morin as deputy chief executives, as the French company pursues plans to change its management structure and improve its business performance.

Cahill is currently head of AccorHotels's luxury brands and heads up the company's north America, central America and Caribbean regions. He becomes deputy CEO for hotel operations.

Morin, currently chief financial officer, has been appointed deputy CEO responsible for finance, communications and strategy.

Further Improve Operational Efficiency

"The appointments of Chris Cahill and Jean-Jacques Morin as Group Deputy CEOs alongside Deputy CEO Sven Boinet are intended to further improve our operational efficiency and the quality of delivery of the group's strategy," said AccorHotels chairman and chief executive Sebastien Bazin in a statement.

In February, AccorHotels agreed to sell 55% of its AccorInvest property business to sovereign and institutional investors for €4.4 billion, saying it would use part of the cash to fund acquisitions.
