Aer Lingus CEO To Step Down On January 1

Aer Lingus CEO Stephen Kavanagh will step down on January 1, 2019, the airline's owner, IAG, has announced.

As reported by The Irish Independent, Kavanagh, who has held the position since 2015, will be succeeded as CEO by Sean Doyle, who currently holds the position of director of network, fleet and alliances at IAG's British Airways.

Profit And Return

In the first half of 2018, operating profits at Aer Lingus increased 51% to €104 million and in the past four quarters the airline has delivered return on invested capital of 27.8%, which represents the highest return of any division of IAG.
