According to a statement published on the website of hotel industry market data company STR, Paris was the only key European hotel market that achieved gross operating profit per available room (GOPPAR) in March that was 100% of its 2019 comparable.

According to STR’s March 2022 P&L data release, Paris posted a GOPPAR of US$117.26 for March of this year.

London And Amsterdam

Meanwhile, London posted a GOPPAR of US$90.82 for March, which was a significant month-on-month improvement and 87% of its pre-pandemic comparable, after the market reached 38% using the same comparison in February. Amsterdam’s GOPPAR was 68% of its 2019 comparable and up from -31% in February, according to the statement published on STR.com, which also noted that London and Amsterdam have both seen their highest GOPPAR levels since December 2019.

Berlin And Moscow

Additionally, the statement published on STR.com noted that while Berlin’s GOPPAR improved, it remained in negative territory for a third consecutive month, and the only key European hotel market that showed lower profitability from the previous month was Moscow.
