Pre-Tax Profits And Revenues Rise At Milano Operating Company

New accounts filed by the company that operates the Milano restaurant chain, Agenbite Ltd, have revealed that the firm's pre-tax profits increased 29% to €6 million last year while its revenues rose 2.7% on a like-for-like basis to €25.27 million.

According to The Irish Times, the company's directors' report stated that "while the rate of revenue growth is lower than in the previous period, the performance is considered to be encouraging given the continuation of challenging market conditions".

Dividends And Staff Statistics

Agenbite paid dividends of €3.8 million to its parent, Pizza Express, last year, following dividends of €12.19 million in 2017.

Meanwhile, the number of people employed by the Irish business decreased from 541 to 517 last year; staff costs increased from €8.4 million to €8.96 million; and €1.32 million was paid to directors.
