Bastible Restaurant Owners Opening New Dublin Eatery

The owners of Dublin's Bastible restaurant have announced that they will be opening a second eatery in the capital on Clanbrassil Street next week.

Clanbrassil House will initially seat up to 25 diners with plans to expand the restaurant to encompass an adjoining space and add a coffee and sandwich store to the premises at the start of 2018, reports The Irish Times.

Commenting on what customers can expect from the new restaurant, co-owner and chef Barry Fitzgerald, said: "The menu is divided into two main sections: a list of simple and seasonal small plates and also a selection of main dishes cooked over a charcoal fire. The open barbecue is the focal point of the kitchen and we are excited to learn a new approach to cooking with it."

In addition, Fitzgerald says there will be a "very small and affordable" wine list "curated by James Brooke, who was previously head sommelier at Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud", and it will "change quite frequently to keep things fresh and exciting."

Clanbrassil House will be open for business every Tuesday-Saturday (5-10pm) from 3 October.
