Dalata Hotel Group Wins 'HR Team Of The Year' Award

Dalata Hotel Group has announced it has won ‘HR Team of the Year’ at the HR Leadership and Management Awards 2018. The Awards, which took place in the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road on Thursday March 8, recognise Ireland’s leading talent in Human Resources. The awards are judged by an independent panel of recognised experts, representing Ireland's HR industry.

The news follows the announcement that Dalata, which owns the Clayton and Maldron hotels across Ireland and the UK, will expand its hotel room stock by 2,200 over the next three years. The new rooms will come as part of a mix of new hotels and extensions to existing properties. In 2018, Dalata will open four new hotels - the Maldron Hotel Belfast City, the Maldron Hotel Kevin St. Dublin, the Clayton Hotel Charlemont Dublin and the Maldron Hotel South Mall Cork.

With the addition of these new rooms, over 800 jobs will be created over the next three years. The HR team will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of these openings. Recruitment is already underway as the team look to fill key roles across the group.

Dawn Wynne, head of HR, commented, “We are delighted to have won the award for ‘HR Team of the Year’ which demonstrates our commitment to our people across the Group. It is a very exciting time here at Dalata as we continue to expand in Ireland and into the UK. Over 800 jobs will be created over the next three years and our HR team has been busy implementing structures that ensure we attract and retain the best talent. We look forward to welcoming and working with our new colleagues.”
