Dalata To Rebrand Former Bewley Hotels

Hotel operator Dalata Hotel Group has confirmed that it's re-branding 10 of its newly acquired properties in the UK and Ireland as Clayton hotels by the end of this year.

The move will include six properties which previously traded under the Bewley brand, according to the Irish Times.

It's being reported that Dalata will invest €27 million in the redevelopment and upgrade of both its Clayton and Maldron Hotels.

Included in the rebrand will be the former Bewley’s hotels in Ballsbridge and at Dublin airport, while others include Whites of Wexford and Silver Springs in Cork.

“It’s an exciting time for the Dalata team. Our strategy is to leverage the group’s core asset management, hotel operation and development capabilities to grow the business. It is fantastic to see this coming to life with the launch and forthcoming roll out of Clayton Hotels  here in Ireland," said Dalata founder and chief executive Pat McCann, as reported by the Irish Times.

Dalata now has a portfolio of 7,480 rooms across 46 hotels, with 45 per cent located in Dublin.
