Deliveroo For Business Records 181% Increase In Orders

Deliveroo for Business, which was launched in March 2016, continues to go from strength to strength as it reports an increase of 181% in orders over the past 12 months. Deliveroo currently works with over 550 restaurants in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast representing an increase of 54% in the past 12 months.

Deliveroo for Business operates in the same way as Deliveroo’s core model but instead of individual accounts, employees can order through a corporate account. It is a simple and secure way to cater for individual employees and meetings as well as corporate events.

The biggest sector that uses the Deliveroo for Business platform is technology, with tech companies accounting for over half (54%) of its business clients. These are followed by financial services, entertainment/ movie production and law firms. Some well-known Irish businesses that use Deliveroo for Business include Paddy Power, GoFundMe and Eventbrite.

Xavier Collins, Head of Deliveroo for Business UK & Ireland said, “Gone are the days when working long hours or staying late at the office meant sorry soggy sandwiches or a last minute dash to the supermarket. Deliveroo for Business allows companies to provide their workforce with real choice, restaurant quality food, delivered straight to their desks. With employees increasingly rating food as a top perk, Deliveroo can easily fuel your workplace with its corporate offering.”

A spokesperson for Paddy Power commented, “Using Deliveroo for our catering needs during major festival periods was a very smooth experience. All correspondence with our account manager was professional and efficient and allowed us to focus on our workload instead. Food was delivered hot and exactly as ordered.”

GoFundMe is also delighted with Deliveroo for Business: “We're a pretty small team here at GoFundMe, so catering or a full-service canteen isn't an option. We also have varying lunch hours and very different tastes. The variety on Deliveroo offers something for everyone and the flexibility makes sure our team is fully content at any hour of the day. Options are always fresh and delicious, and get delivered in no time. We love it”.

Deliveroo also highlighted that Mexican cuisine is by far the most popular food ordered through the platform, followed by healthy salads and Japanese dishes. The company recently added new platter options and a set meal range from over 15 restaurants in Dublin, offering quick ordering for large groups, events or meetings. The most popular time for orders is lunchtime, between 12:00pm and 1pm, with a peak again at 8:00pm for those putting in some late hours.
