Former Mount Falcon estate employee Daniel Willimont (pictured) has been announced as the executive head chef of Delphi Resort in Co. Galway.
The new appointment will see Willimont, who has won several awards over the years, heading the culinary team of the 814 Restaurant, which offers an à la carte menu made up of locally sourced seasonal produce and features views of Connacht's highest mountain, Mweelrea.
Commenting on his new role, Willimont said: "The resort brings together the stunning Connemara landscape with top quality food and hospitality. I am looking forward to working with the team and local suppliers to continue work on Delphi’s journey as a top gourmet destination.”
Delphi's commercial director, Douglas Whittaker, added: "I’m delighted to welcome Daniel Willimont to the team.
