Carlow Brewing Company Enters Cider Market

Falling Apple Cider Company, the Carlow Brewing Company’s cider brand, has launched its debut drink made from 100% Irish apples.

Falling Apple Medium Gravity Cider is described as delivering a balance of sweet, dry and bitter flavours, with a golden appearance and an “apple-drop candy aroma.”

The Carlow Brewing Company says it is brewed from a range of apple varieties including dessert apples and large eating apples, which bring both acidity and a soft sweetness to the drink.

The cider, with a 5.0% ABV and best served at 4-6°, has been developed to pair well with roast pork dishes, or for a lighter treat, summer fruit salads.

It's available both on draught and in bottles in pubs nationwide and is also available in 50cl bottles in off-licences and retailers nationwide with an RRP €3.69.
