Craft Cocktails Announces Launch Of Cocktail Factory Cuckoo Lane In Dublin

Irish drinks company Craft Cocktails has announced the launch of a new cocktail factory called Cuckoo Lane in Dublin.

Craft Cocktails stated, "Craft Cocktails is celebrating its first birthday with the launch of its new cocktail factory, Cuckoo Lane, in Dublin 7. Since launching in October 2020, Craft Cocktails has rapidly scaled and is now stocked in over 40 independent retailers and venues nationwide. The team has tripled in size, sending cocktails all over Ireland through its online shop, which has seen over 130,000 visitors in the last year. The range of 12 colourful bottled cocktails are hand mixed and bottled in the new purpose-built space by award-winning bartenders.

"From fulfilling orders from his closed bar, BAR 1661, during the pandemic, to taking the plunge and investing in a dedicated production space to meet demand from retailers, restaurants, and hotels around Ireland, owner Dave Mulligan is grateful for the support in Ireland, and ambitious for the future of the brand."

Owner Statement

Mulligan stated, "What started as an elevated at-home delivery service has now evolved into a standalone brand and has transcended the challenges posed to our sector. To see our colourful cocktails in venues around Dublin and further afield, and hear how much people seem to love them, makes me so proud and has just been amazing for us as a team. The fact that it brings new business to BAR 1661, that we fought so hard to protect, makes all the hard work even more worthwhile."

Additional Information

Craft Cocktails continued, "Over the last year, the team has grown to over 20 people, and the rapid scaling shows no sign of slowing down as the brand continues to grow its footprint in Ireland, with a launch in Northern Ireland on the cards this year and plans to enter the UK market in 2022, made possible by obtaining a bonded warehouse status for Cuckoo Lane. 'We are confident our product is really strong, with a flavour for everyone, and we will be able to replicate our success in the competitive UK market,' says Mulligan.

"Cuckoo Lane is named for the local area around the historic fruit markets in Dublin 7, where the team source a lot of the fresh fruit for Craft Cocktails. The space itself is designed to be multi-functional and modular: a working cocktail lab; mixing, production and bottling line; tasting room; brand showroom; retail and event space. Personalised cocktail labels are designed and printed, and a new events division works from there too, complete with mobile Craft Cocktails 'Bar-cycle' for fuss free, fun events without the expense of a full bar. The industrial fit-out is softened by bespoke joinery from Oakheart Joinery, custom metalwork by RT Metal Craft and gleaming hi spec steel cocktail making equipment. The Craft Cocktails motto - Made by Bartenders, Not by Pretenders, is proudly displayed across the two large bay windows of the traditional timber shopfront.

"Craft Cocktails are made using only 100% natural ingredients - fresh fruit, handmade syrups, cordials, and infusions."
