Nespresso Records Record Irish Revenues For 2020
Nespresso has recorded record Irish revenues for 2020.
As reported by The Irish Times, Nespresso's sales increased by 34% to £28.7 million (€33.5 million) last year, and accounts for Nespresso UK Ltd show that its Irish business outperformed the UK in terms of growth and recorded average weekly revenues of €645,612 last year.
Nespresso's sales of £28.7 million last year reportedly followed sales of £21.43 million the previous year, and the directors reportedly said that the coffee company’s growth was boosted by e-commerce along with "a high demand from lockdown consumers".
Nespresso's 2020 bumper performance has reportedly resulted in Nespresso UK proposing a dividend of £8.7 million, which reportedly follows a dividend payout of £7.8 million the previous year.
Outlets And Employees
Nespresso's flagship outlet is located on Dublin’s Duke Street and it also operates boutiques at Brown Thomas outlets, and, in total, the Swiss-headquartered conglomerate, Nestle-owned coffee maker reportedly operates seven outlets and employs 63 people in Ireland.
Nespresso UK reportedly recorded pre-tax profits of £11.7 million for 2020 from its UK and Irish sales, and the Irish sales reportedly made up 10% of total sales of the total sales £28.7 million across Ireland and the UK in 2020.
