Dublin Airport Sees 6% Spike In Passenger Numbers In H1

Dublin Airport saw a 6.2% rise in the number of passengers passing through its doors during the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2016.

The airport handled some 13.8 million passengers during the first six months of 2017, making it the 15th busiest in Europe, according to figures released by the European arm of Airports Council International (ACI), as reported by the Irish Independent.

With new services added in recent months, including the Qatar Airways' Dublin to Doha route, it is expected that Dublin airport will go close to the 30 million passengers mark by the end of the year, breaking last year's record of just under 28 million.
