EPIC Emigration Museum Welcomes 250,000th Visitor

Dublin's EPIC Emigration Museum is currently celebrating news that it has welcomed 250,000 visitors through its doors to date.

"Immensely Proud"

Neville Isdell, founder and chairman of EPIC, commented, “I’m immensely proud to have reached this milestone in EPIC’s growth. We tell an essential Irish story and I’m delighted to see we are fast becoming a go-to destination for visitors to our island and Irish people alike. It has been a huge team effort and we look forward to welcoming the next 250,000 visitors.”

Meanwhile, EPIC managing director Mervyn Greene asserted, “This achievement is a testament to our amazing staff whose warmth, knowledge and professionalism ensure that visitors have a memorable experience here. As a relatively new kid on the block, it’s fantastic for EPIC to have gotten recognition from TripAdvisor, Time Out and National Geographic as among their top museums in Ireland. Dublin tourism continues to grow and we’re delighted to be welcoming more visitors from around the world to Docklands.”

Showcasing History

A fully digital museum, EPIC showcases the stories of the Irish people who travelled the world, retelling some of their achievements in music, literature, sport, politics, fashion and science. The museum's 250,000th visitor was Dana Rush of Amarillo, Texas, who recently discovered that she has Irish ancestry.
