Boutique hotel Stauntons on the Green on St. Stephen's Green in Dublin has been placed on the market with a guide price of €12 million.

Stauntons, with its exceptional location in the middle of Ireland's busiest shopping area, trades well at an average room rate of €90 a night.

The four-star facility comprises 51 bedrooms in three adjoining Georgian houses, with private rear access to the Iveagh Gardens. Property agents JLL are selling with vacant possession.

The Irish Times reports the property may be bought for residential purposes or office spaces, despite the booming hotel market in Dublin, according to Margaret Fleming of JLL.

“It is unusual to have the opportunity to purchase such a quantum of fine Georgian space in one lot. Some buyers may consider conversion back to residential or to bespoke office space – the location is excellent for both,” said Fleming.

The hotel has operated under owner Jim Staunton since 1989 and recently added an extension to the rear of the property.
