ROI Citizens Vaccinated In NI And Outside EU To Be Able To Obtain EU COVID Certs
Republic of Ireland citizens who received COVID-19 vaccinations in Northern Ireland and non-EU countries will be able to obtain EU Digital COVID Certificates through an online portal.
As reported by rte.ie, the Irish government is creating the portal following the initial rollout of the EU Digital COVID Certificate earlier this year.
Could Go Live This Week
It is reportedly expected that this portal could go live later this week.
Republic of Ireland citizens who were vaccinated outside of the European Union with vaccines that are authorised for use in the Republic of Ireland will reportedly be eligible to apply.
Department Of Public Expenditure And Reform Statements
The Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, which has responsibility for e-government, reportedly said that the portal is "being advanced on a cross departmental basis involving technical and process development and resource management", and that an announcement on the launch of the portal will be made "shortly".
