Ryanair's May Traffic Declines 99.5% To 0.07m Customers

Ryanair has released its traffic statistics for May, revealing that the company's total traffic declined 99.5% to 0.07 million customers from 14.1 million in May of 2019 as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

Ryanair And Laudamotion Specific Numbers

Ryanair specific traffic declined 99.5% from 13.5 million in May of last year to 0.07 million in May of 2020, while Laudamotion passenger numbers declined 100% to zero, and the company's rolling annual traffic declined 17% to 121 million.

Ryanair operated over 701 scheduled flights in May including a number of rescue and medical flights on behalf of various EU governments.

The airline had budgeted over 70,000 flights for May, and, due to multiple EU government flight bans and restrictions, it expects to carry minimal traffic during the months of June as well.
