Gleneagle Group Accelerating Capital-Investment Plans

Following the completion of a €30 million refinance of its debt, the Gleneagle Group, which operates the Gleneagle Hotel and INEC venue in Killarney, is accelerating its capital-investment plans.

According to The Irish Independent, the group has transferred its facilities from AIB to Ulster Bank and a second provider that it is understood to be the WLR Cardinal Mezzanine Fund.

Gleneagle Group CEO Patrick O'Donoghue commented that the investment plans included "guestroom and general refurbishments, facility upgrades and technological advancements" and that it is "being carried out on a phased basis, so as not to interfere with the operation of the hotels."

O'Donoghue added, "Drawing on our 60 years of experience in the hospitality industry, this programme of improvements will provide our guests with an enhanced visitor experience."
