Griffin Hotel Group Records 9% Rise In Revenues In 2016

The operator of the Ferrycarrig Hotel In Wexford, the Kilkenny Hotel and the five-star Monart Spa in Enniscorthy, the Griffin Group, has released accounts that indicate its revenues rose by 9% in 2016.

As reported by The Irish Times, the company's turnover increased to €22.8 million last year, with operating tax excluding exceptional items amounting to €3 million. This represented a 12% rise on figures for 2015.

The average number of people employed by the Griffin Group across 2016 was 446, with the group reporting that 77% of its turnover - €17 million - was fed back into the local economy through staff salaries and suppliers based in counties Kilkenny and Wexford.

Commenting on the accounts, Griffin Group chief executive Michael Griffin asserted that 2016 was "a positive year for the group and the culmination of successful teamwork by our people and key stakeholders who together are focused on delivering great customer experiences."
