New Owners Seeking Two-Storey Extension Of Potential Cleary's Hotel
The Sunday Business Post has reported that the new owners of the former Cleary’s department site are seeking permission to build two additional floors for a planned hotel on the site.
The former department store was acquired last year for €63 million by Europa Capital, part of the Rockefeller Group.
The American firm operates Irish companies Oakmount and Core Capital.
The group currently has permission to redevelop the building into a retail and office scheme, featuring a rooftop restaurant.
Plans also include a seven-storey hotel on Earl Place, on the site of a former Cleary’s warehouse.
