Hughes Craft Distillery To Open New Visitor Centre & Gastropub In Co. Down

The Hughes Craft Distillery, which is responsible for producing the RubyBlue brand of liqueurs and vodka, has taken over the Four Trees bar of Moira in Co. Down as part of a £200,000 investment.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that the distillery's owners, Stuart and Barbara Hughes, intend to transfer their business to the venue from Lisburn in January and subsequently rebrand it as The StillHouse ahead of opening a visitor centre and gin school on the premises for the purpose of allowing customers to create personalised miniature RubyBlue products, such as potato vodka.

Commenting on the purchase of property, Barbara Hughes said, "Moira is one of the UK's biggest food destinations and this venue allows us to offer the typical Irish pub experience, from local food to drink. It also has an off-licence on site, which means we can sell RubyBlue."

She added, "With the creation of our visitor centre, gin school and gastropub, we're creating a true food tourism hotspot to showcase the best local produce complemented with our small batch spirits."
