Icelandair Announces New Dublin To Reykjavik Service

Icelandair has announced that it is launching a new six-times weekly route between Dublin and Reykjavik in May of 2018.

The Irish Independent reports that while prices and online bookings aren't yet available for the service, it will depart Keflavik Airport at 7.30am and return from Dublin at 11.50am. The service will also allow for connections to and from Icelandair's 20 routes to North America.

Commenting on the new service, Dublin Airport managing director Vincent Harrison said, "Iceland is a very popular destination for short breaks and is on many people's bucket list, and Dublin Airport warmly welcomes today's announcement from Icelandair, which further strengthens the connection between the two countries. The new service will also provide new options for North American visitors coming to Ireland, a market segment that has grown by 17.9% from January to August of this year, according to the latest CSO overseas travel data."
