Irish Ferries owner Irish Continental Group (ICG) has set aside space for a post-Brexit duty-free shop on its WB Yeats passenger ferry.
The Irish Times reports that an area has been reserved on the upper floor of the WB Yeats, which is due to operate on the daily Dublin to Holyhead route, for a duty-free retail unit in case low-cost alcohol, tobacco and perfume are re-introduced post-Brexit.
Sea Trials
Constructed by German shipbuilding firm Schiffbau-Gesselschaft, the €144 million WB Yeats ferry arrived in Ireland in October and is currently undergoing sea trials.
