Ireland’s Blue Book Adds Three New Properties to Its Collection For 2017

Ireland's Blue Book has added Belleek Castle in Co Mayo; Hilton Park Manor in Co Monaghan; and The Tannery Townhouse and Restaurant in Co. Waterford to its collection for 2017.

The three new additions bring the total number of properties in the collection to 50 for 2017, the highest number since the Blue Book association was founded in 1974.

Belleek Castle was built on an abbey dating from medieval times and all of its rooms are individually furnished with antiquities. Hilton Park has over 600 acres of parkland, lakes, woodlands, croquet lawn and herb and walled gardens as well as complimentary golf. The Tannery, which opened in 1997, is run by Paul and Máire Flynn and located close to the Copper Coast and Comeragh Mountains.

"We are delighted to have Belleek Castle, Hilton Park and The Tannery as part of the Blue Book Family. I am privileged to continue my role as chairperson of the association, and with 2016 being one of the strongest years for Irish tourism, our hotels and restaurants are looking forward to a very busy year ahead," said Sallyanne Clarke, chairperson of Ireland's Blue Book and proprietor of L'Ecrivain Restaurant.
