Irish Healthy Soft Drink Firm Excels In The UK

Dublin native Gary Lavin's vitamin drink manufacturer, Vithit, is aiming to achieve revenues of €40 million in 2018 on the back of a significant growth surge in the UK.

The Irish Times reports that Vithit anticipates it will sell 20 million units this year and expects to grow its British market share by 38%. This prediction follows a recorded increase of 64% in the company's UK sales in 2017.

Vithit is currently the second best-selling healthy drink brand in the UK's "functional beverage" category, which covers soft drinks that purport to have health benefits.

Global Ambitions

Vithit was founded by Lavin in 2008 and specialises in a range of beverages that blend teas, juices, water and vitamins and come in a variety of flavours, including apple & elderflower and dragonfruit & yuzu.

At present, Vithit is the market leading health drink in both Ireland and Iceland as well as being the fastest growing health drink in Belgium. The company is now seeking to become the world's leading healthy soft drink producer within the next half decade, aiming to be active in 50 markets by 2023.
