Java Republic Scoops Top Accolade at Great Taste Awards

Java Republic has been awarded the top honour at the Great Taste Awards 2015, as its Rwandan coffee picked up three stars, the only Irish coffee company to do so.

As well as collecting the highest possible grade of three stars for its Rwandan coffee, six other Java Republic products won star awards, including its Organic Wild Berry Infusion Tea, which received two.

Java Republic’s winning product is a Light Roast, 100% Rwandan Nyungwe Coffee that is full bodied with hints of green apple and red currants that are typical of Rwandan coffees.

Speaking about the award, Grace O’Shaughnessy, managing director of Java Republic, said: "We specifically chose to enter this coffee for Great Taste Awards 2015 as we felt the high quality of the green bean coupled with our roasting expertise truly represents what Java Republic’s vision is all about – delivering the best coffee experience on the planet. We couldn’t be happier with this award!”

Java Republic, the original Irish hand-roasters, is an Irish-owned company that supplies premium coffees, teas and hot chocolate. It is based at The Roastery in Dublin, which houses the coffee roasting facility, offices and the Roastery Café.

The Great Taste Awards is organised by Guild of Fine Food in the UK.
