Jurys Inn To Rebrand London Hotels To Hiltons

Jurys Inn Hotel Group has signed an agreement with Hilton Worldwide so that three Jurys Inn properties will join the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of hotels.

As part of the agreement, Jurys Inn will invest £20 million to upgrade the properties in Islington and Chelsea which will be rebranded as DoubleTree by Hilton while Heathrow property will be renamed Hilton Garden Inn next year.

The three hotels will continue to be owned and operated by Jurys Inn.

Jurys Inn will continue to own and operate the hotels, paying a percentage of turnover to Hilton as a franchise fee. Their remaining 29 hotels in in Ireland, Britain and the Czech Republic will continue to operate under the Jurys Inn brand.

Chief executive of Jurys Inn John Brennan said the deal will enable it to boost revenues and prices in three of its most valuable properties.

'We asked ourselves how we could leverage these locations further but we were never going to give up managing ourselves,' Mr Brennan said to the Irish Times.
