Jurys Inn Cork Celebrates €1.6 Million Revamp

Jurys Inn Cork has celebrated the completion of a €1.6 million redesign-and-transformation project. The hotel, which also marks its 20th anniversary this year, underwent a complete refurbishment of its 133 bedrooms, bar and restaurant areas, and a revamp of its meetingroom facilities as part of the investment.   Speaking at a special event to mark the redesign, Anita McLoone, Hotel Manager of Jurys Inn Cork, said “We are so pleased to bring together our staff, guests and business partners to celebrate the unveiling of the newly refurbished Jurys Inn Cork. This is an exciting day for all of us and we look forward over the coming weeks and months to introducing our new-look and excellent facilities to both new and regular guests alike, and truly showcasing our commitment to providing the best service, value and quality.”   Jurys Inn Hotel Group has invested significantly in its product and service offering: it was crowned the Best Irish Hotel Chain at the 2014 Irish Travel Industry Awards.   The heritage of the Jurys Group can be traced back to 1881, when William Jury opened his first boarding house in Dublin:    The first Doyle Hotel, the Montrose, was built in Stillorgan, Dublin, in 1964 by PV Doyle. The newly enlarged organisation, now known as Jurys Doyle Hotel Group Limited, was formed in 1999, when the Doyle portfolio of Dublin, London and Washington DC hotels was acquired by the Jurys Hotel Group.
