Just Eat Launches National Takeaway Awards 2017

Online food ordering service Just Eat has called on the nation to back their favourite local takeaway by voting for them in the Just Eat National Takeaway Awards 2017.

The Awards, launched today (Tuesday August 22) by broadcaster Louise Duffy and comedian/author Colm O’Regan, recognise the quality of food and service consistently delivered by this sector of the food services industry, and everyone who votes has the chance to win free takeaway for a year.

Now entering their fourth year, the event includes 20 categories, such as "Best Takeaway in Ireland", "Best Healthy Takeaway" and "Best Takeaway Dish".

Just Eat Ireland managing director Amanda Roche Kelly commented, “with over 2,000 takeaway restaurants in Ireland, it’s important that we recognise the hard work and dedication of businesses in the industry. We also recognise the importance of giving consumers a chance to get behind their favourite local takeaway as we know how loyal our customers are.”

Voting is open for all takeaway restaurants throughout Ireland until September 25 at www.just-eat.ie/takeawayawards2017, with a shortlist announcement on September 28. The shortlist vote will subsequently close on October 9 and the Awards will take place on October 17 in Dublin’s Number 22, hosted by Duffy and O’Regan.
