Landmark South Dublin And Waterford Pubs Go On The Market

The well-known An Seanachai Bar & Restaurant, together with 12 purpose built holiday homes, located just outside Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, has been put on the market.

Joint agents CBRE and REA Spratt have said offers in excess of €450,000 are being sought for An Seanachai Bar & Restaurant, while offers in excess of €95,000 each are being sought for the 12 holiday homes.

An Seanachai is a long-established traditional thatched roof pub which dates back to 1845. The property is located just off the main Waterford to Cork N25 road and has retained many of its original features, including flagstone floors, open turf fires, thatched roof and traditional bar counter and fittings.

The original bar has been extended to provide restaurant and catering facilities for 80 covers.

Meanwhil, CBRE has also confirmed that the landmark Boland's pub in Stillorgan is for sale by private treaty, with offers in excess of €1.4m are being sought for the premises.

Boland’s occupies a busy corner trading position at the intersection of Lower Kilmacud Road, Old Dublin Road and The Hill, close to the main N11 Dublin to Wexford Road.

The property is situated directly opposite the busy Stillorgan Shopping Centre and diagonally opposite the Leisureplex entertainment complex.

Boland’s is a long-established two-storey licensed premises. The accommodation comprises ground floor lounge bar with an outside smoking area together with keg and bottle storage areas. On the first floor there is a further lounge bar and catering kitchen. There is a large rear yard also offering further expansion possibilities.
