Macken Regains Full Control Of Jo’Burger Group

Irish restaurateur Joe Macken has reportedly bought out the majority share in the Jo’Burger group of restaurants that was held by business partner John Roberts.

Joe Macken and his family are said to have regained full control of the group of six Dublin restaurants, which includes three Jo’Burger outlets, plus the Crackbird, Bear and Skinflint restaurants, reports The Irish Times, adding that Roberts, "who helped rescue the Jo’Burger group from examinership in 2009, sold his near 60 per cent stake to a company controlled by Mr Macken in recent weeks".

The reprot states that the deal gives full ownership of the group to Joe Macken and his parents, Kevin and Vonie Macken, via their company Vonkey, with documents filed with the Companies Registration office outlining that deal would "guarantee future stability" and allow Jo’Burger to "pursue strategic growth".
