Michelin Star Aniar Adds Weekend Lunch To Menu

Michelin star restaurant Aniar in Galway is introducing a weekly Saturday lunch offering starting in the new year.

The four-course lunch menu will cost €55 and will be available on the 31 December and 7 January initially, and thereafter every Saturday from the 4 February.

JP McMahon, chef-patron of Aniar, said, "The daytime lunch offering at Aniar is an answer to growing demand. It will give diners a similar experience to our our evening menu albeit with less courses while also making the restaurant accessible."

JP added that the lunchtime opening also coincides with another new initiative: "There has been a recent movement towards making kitchens a more friendly working environment. This needs to be based on action and this is something we feel quite strongly about in Aniar. While our lunchtime opening means more seatings, staff will  be given an extra day off during the week resulting in a four-day work week without a drop in pay."
