The Northern Irish chicken company Moy Park is to create 528 jobs across its three sites in Dungannon, Craigavon and Ballymena.
The company has been in the public eye in recent weeks as its parent company, Brazilian-owned Marfrig, is one of the main sponsors of the World Cup. The stadium advertising often alternates between Marfrig and Moy Park, with Moy Park being predominately used when a European team is playing.
The jobs will be created over the coming four years throughout the business and are part of an overall investment of £170 million to expand the Northern Irish operations. Marfrig has already created 100 jobs since it made the Moy Park headquarters in Craigavon its European hub last year.
Financial assistance to the tune of £9.5 million will also be provided by the government agency Invest NI to aid the expansion.
The investment will mean an increase in wages and salaries for the local economy and will enable the business to substantially grow their sales. The Northern Irish enterprise minister Arlene Foster said it is "a huge boost of confidence in Northern Ireland as a European food production and manufacturing centre of excellence by a world leading company".
Moy Park sells meats under its own name and under other brands such as the Jamie Oliver Trade Mark and supplies chicken products to supermarkets and manufacturers across Europe.
