New Food Options Available For Travelers At Cork Airport

Cork Airport has increased the culinary options available to travelers with the launch of a new and improved range of food offerings, following a major investment from American food service Aramark.

According to The Irish Examiner, suppliers for the airport's new food offerings include Fingal Ferguson with Gubbeen chorizo, Jane Murphy with Ardsallagh goat's cheese, Brendon Vale cheddar, Flahavan's Oat porridge, G's Jam from Co. Laois, Ballycotton smoked salmon, Glenilen yogurts, Glenown ice-cream and Pallas Green as well as locally grown fruit and vegetables.

Cork airport managing director Niall MacCarthy proclaimed that "Cork and the wider region provides some of Ireland's best seafood and produce, so it is very exciting for us to be able to showcase this in Food Republic and in Kinsale Café Bar." He added that "So far, passenger feedback has been really positive."

Aramark managing director Frank Gleeson stated that the food service "is delighted to be able to offer great products and a great experience while supporting local food producers and developing a menu that reflects what makes Cork the gourmet capital of Ireland."
