Scandinavian carrier Norwegian has revealed that it in the past 14 months, it has carried 250,000 passengers on its transatlantic services out of Dublin.

As reported by The Irish Independent, the airline is now planning to increase the capacity on its Dublin to Providence, Rhode Island, route by 40% next summer and the route will operate daily year-round.

Summer 2019 will also see Norwegian launch a service between Dublin and Toronto's Hamilton airport as well as doubling the frequency of flights on its Dublin to New York's Stewart International airport route. In total, Norwegian will operate 28 flights weekly between Dublin and North America next summer.

Shannon Operations

Meanwhile, Norwegian will also operate a Shannon to Stewart International service three times weekly this winter before extending the service to fives times weekly next summer as well as operating a four times weekly Shannon to Providence service next summer.

The announcement of the expansion of services at Dublin and Shannon arrives in the wake of the news that Norwegian is canceling its Belfast to Stewart International and Providence services.
