O'Donoghue's Of Dublin Objects To Extension Of Neighbouring Restaurant
The operators of Dublin pub O'Donoghues have appealed Dublin City Council's decision to approve an extension of the neighbouring brasserie-style restaurant, Marcel's.
Noise And Light Pollution
According to The Irish Independent, O'Donoghue's has hired planning consultants Brock McClure to outline the opposition, which states the pub "is extremely concerned about how this proposal could negatively impact on their business by means of causing damage to the visual amenity of the surrounding area, adding to noise and light pollution, particularly the adjoining properties".
The objection further states that the proposed extension to Marcel's will adversely affect O'Donoghue's "commercial operations and fails to take account of the existing immediate context".
