Ryanair Seeking Long-Haul Partners

Ryanair chief Michael O'Leary has said the budget airline is willing to cooperate with long-haul carriers as it applied for two new slots in Paris airpots.

Ryanair has applied for slots at Paris Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports and if approved, O'Leary told French financial publication Les Echos it will seek long-haul alliances.

"It would be perfectly logical for long-haul airlines like Air France to ask for our help to reduce their losses on short-haul flights," he said. O'Leary added that he has been in talks with major airlines such as Air France, Lufthansa, IAG, TAP, Aer Lingus, Virgin Atlantic and Norwegian.

If Ryanair is approved for the new slots in Paris it will be at the expense of its current operation in Paris Beauvais.
