Pod Nightclub for Sale at €6m

The Old Harcourt Street Station, better known as the Pod, is on the market with a guide price of €6 million.

The Pod is owned by well-known music promoter and Electric Picnic founder John Reynolds, who has put it up to be sold by 8 June, The Irish Times reports.

The licensed premises is located on Dublin's Harcourt Street (pictured), and was the former home to late-night venues the Chocolate Bar, Crawdaddy and Tripod. Selling agent Morrissey's is handling the sale, which has said the building can be used for a number of commercial opportunities.

Reynolds, nephew of former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds, first bought the building in 1993, taking over the whole building five years later. It operated as a nightclub in Dublin's busiest nightlife area for several years before closing.

Reynolds faced opposition earlier this year from Dublin councillor Mannix Flynn over his plans to open a new bar and music venue in Dublin 2.
