Portrush To Get New 87-Bedroom Hotel

The green light has been given for the development of a new £6.6 million, 87-bedroom hotel in the Co. Antrim town of Portrush.

According to The Belfast Telegraph, it's claimed that the proposed hotel will inject approximately £1.4 million into the local economy annually and generate employment opportunities for 48 people during its development, with 41 more jobs arising upon the venue's opening.

"Huge Tourism Benefit"

Responding to the granting of planning permission by the planning committee at Causeway Coast and Glens Council, Andras Hotels director Rajesh Rana commented, "We are absolutely over the moon and would like to thank the councillors for reviewing our revised proposals and recognising the huge tourism benefit and economic investment we are seeking to deliver for Portrush and the wider Causeway Coast area."
