Press Up Entertainment Reports Impressive Profit Surge

Press Up Entertainment, one of Ireland's largest leisure and hospitality groups, has seen its operating profits nearly double to €5.1 million.

Owned by Paddy McKillen Jnr and Matt Ryan, Press Up Entertainment saw revenues increase by 36 per cent to €42.9 million for last year, according to accounts filed by Orsen Ltd. A spokesperson for the group said that The Dean hotel's first full year of trading was a key factor for the revenue increase, reports The Irish Independent.

"We are very happy with the group's trading and increased profits for 2015 and we are proud to have brought some great new venues to fruition like Angelina's, Percy Place and union Café, Mount Merrion," commented the spokesperson.

Press Up Entertainment, which owns and operates 26 businesses in Ireland, such as Bison Bar, Cleaver East by Oliver Dunne, The Liquor Rooms and WowBurger, provides employment for over 1,000 people.

Over the next year, the group reportedly has plans to expand its WowBurger brand, will open a hotel in North Wall Quay and a boutique hotel in Ranelagh, a new pub on Aungier Street as well as a bar and two restaurants and in Temple Bar.
