Gino's Gelato Planning To Open Outlet In Cork's Wilton Shopping Centre
Gino's Gelato is planning to open an outlet in Cork's Wilton Shopping Centre.
As reported by The Irish Examiner, the Wilton Shopping Centre outlet will be the fourth Gino's Gelato outlet in Cork city, and is one of eight new outlets that Gino's Gelato is currently planning to open.
The other three Gino's Gelato outlets in Cork are on Oliver Plunkett Street, Paul Street and at number 22 St. Patrick's Street, planning permission for which was granted by Cork City Council late last year.

The Irish Examiner quotes Anthony Murphy, who co-founded Gino's Gelato in 2008 with Jonathan Kirwan, as saying that while the past year "has been challenging for many small businesses including Gino's, we feel we have adapted well and have our biggest plans yet in 2021, to bring the great taste of Gino's to lots more people around Ireland."
New Outlet And Employees
As noted by The Irish Examiner, Gino's Gelato has opened four new outlets since June of 2020, including one in Westport, Co. Mayo, which was its 20th outlet, last month, and hired 50 new employees last year, despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to The Irish Examiner, the eight new outlets that Gino's Gelato is currently planning to open are planned to open before the end of 2021, and the number of people employed by Gino's Gelato is set to increase by 140 to more than 400 this year.
