Owners Of Belfast's Shed Bistro Seeking Local Food And Drink Producers To Support New Belfast Restaurant Planned To Open In October
The owners of Shed Bistro on Belfast's Ormeau Road are seeking local food and drink producers to support a new restaurant called Blank that they are planning to open at number 43 Malone Road, Belfast, in October.
As reported by The Belfast Telegraph, Shed's owners, married couple Jonny and Christina Taylor, said that they are keen to work with some of the region’s lesser known or smaller producers in what they say is a new concept that focuses solely on food that originates in Northern Ireland.
Jonny Taylor Statement
The Belfast Telegraph quotes Jonny Taylor, who is the head chef at Shed Bistro, as saying, "Our next venture is something really special and it will provide the perfect opportunity to showcase the very best produce our local suppliers have to offer.
"These local ingredients will be at the centre of our new concept, celebrating what quality produce is available on our doorstep.
"We dreamt up this idea a long time ago, and have been working hard ever since, using any downtime during the pandemic, to make our dream a reality and ensure every element is right."
The planned opening of Blank will follow Shed's expansion into a unit next to its original Ormeau Road home last year in what was a £150,000 investment by the Taylors.
