Revenues Rose 13% At Gresham Hotel In 2016

Accounts filed recently for the Gresham Hotel in Dublin reveal that revenues rose 13% at the venue in 2016, which was the same year the hotel was sold by Nama (the National Asset Management Agency) to Spanish firm Riu Hotels for €92 million.

According to The Irish Times, the accounts indicate that turnover at the Gresham Hotel Company Limited increased to €18.2 million during the twelve months ending on December 31, 2016, with pre-tax profit amounting to €5.51 million in the same period.

Meanwhile, the number of people employed by the Gresham increased by 11 in 2016, with wage and salary costs rising 8.3% to €5 million. Company directors say that they expect "to continue trading positively for the foreseeable future". Additionally, management doesn't anticipate any major risks as a result of general economic conditions or tourism activity in Ireland, "given the quality and long established presence of the Gresham in the market place."
