New figures released by travel research firm STR reveal that revenue per available room (RevPar) across Ireland's hotels rose by 16.1% during the year ending in May of 2018, with average daily room rates rising 12.7% to €144.55.
As reported by The Irish Times, STR's data indicates that during the period RevPar in Dublin underwent a rise of 13.6%, growing to €146.96, while RevPar outside of the capital increased 18.3% to €92.70.
Meanwhile, the average daily room rate in Ireland as a whole rose 12.7% to €144.55, with the average daily room rate being €162.36 in Dublin during the period and €115.62 in the rest of the country.
STR also revealed that the hotel occupancy rate for Dublin in May was 90.5%, up 1.2% on the year, with the occupancy rate being up 5.3% outside of Dublin at 80.2%.
